I love the design in person. The fabric is so soft and the cushion is just right, not too firm. I assembled it alone. Having help for the back cushion would have been great. But I managed. All the step by step directions are there. Everything came sealed and wrapped with styrofoam sheeting and bubble wrap. There are a few blemishes (missing varnish, see picture) and once assembled the back cushion “gives” when seated or leaning just a bit on it. I might need to tighten the screws some more but I was worried that I might over do it. I was considering dismantling it and adding wood glue and reassemble. Perhaps. The depth of the settee is generous. I can add accent pillows in the future. I purchased this to decorate a mid-century farmhouse kitchendining room. I am tempted to order another one instead of a couple of coordinating chairs. Now I need to finalize my table selection. The iPad is there on the settee for perspective and to show the depth and size of the furniture. I don’t have kiddos I’m not sure this would be “sturdy” enough for them to climb up onto or to sit and do homework for long periods of time. thhomework for too long.. Micheline. Siskiyou County, CA.
