A piece of advice I would offer is to give the items at least 3 applications of beeswax as they are ‘raw’ wood to touch and will become stained. The table top is made of MDF with a real oak veneer which gives the top real and beautiful characteristics of natural oak grains. The four matching chairs are also finished with the same protective layer of lacquer. There are four choices of seat pads ranging from light colour to dark colour. The chair itself is made of solid oak which means it is very sturdy and durable. The classic ladder-back design gives comfortable support to the back of the body.

The table leaf's do not fit that well and they move when any pressure at all is placed on them. It is impossible to pull the stays out any further and they stick so are not that easy to push back when you want to collapse the table. There is also a lip on both sides where the leaf's meet the table as they seem to be slightly warped. Slightly disappointed at £240 but can't be bothered with sending it back. It will do for now..
