The bench I ordered is very good. The delivery service was not. In fact it was terrible. The item made its way from Germany to the UK without any problems, and apparently arrived at the Birmingham depot on Monday 28th November, where for some reason it was inexplicably delayed until Thursday 1st December. Meanwhile, I was informed that it would be delivered on Tuesday 29th November, then delayed so would be delivered on Wednesday 30th November, delayed again until Thursday 1st December. I managed to get through to Wayfair to find out what was going on. Lady was most helpful and promised to speak to DPD. She did, I then got an email saying my item would be delivered Friday 2nd December. Nope, didn't come, no time slot, nothing. I sat for 30 minutes trying to get through to a person at DPD, eventually I did, and was promised delivery 'tomorrow'. Saturday 3rd December I waited in all day, no time slot. Anyhow, in the afternoon, I went out to my garage, and lo and behold, there was my parcel. The driver didn't knock, so I can only guess he/she was told to drop and run, and don't get involved with the customer!! The bench is lovely, by the way, and is in pride of place in my hall, now buried in shoes!! I can only make guesses as to what really happened to the bench on its' journey, and I wish it could tell me, because no one else is going to! And DPD is off my Christmas card list, which doesn't matter because it was never on it anyway.
