I ordered this in the OakWhite. It is an economical storage solution for a very tight space (behind a door) in a guest bedroom. I just ordered wicker storage cubes to complete the look. I feel this would be an attractive yet inexpensive way to keep crafting supplies out of sight.

Great solution for a tight space. I really like the "ladder front" design that adds personality to the basic modular design. I read previous comments and this is how my experience compares: The wood pieces were delivered in perfect condition and the screw holes did line up, unlike some previous reviewers. I ordered the gold and white and it the manufacturer definitely fixed the gold paint problem- another customer mentioned that it came out more of an orange. Mine is definitely a satin metallic gold paint finish. The gold paint finish was flawed however. It has imperfections where the paint bubbled and there is some uneven application. I like the product well enough to overlook the flaws, especially since it's for my home office. I would hold it to a higher standard if it were a showpiece for curios in my living room.

I bought the oak and black, the color is just as pictured. The box came in good condition, and all the parts were well packaged, clean, and damage free. Putting it together wasn't bad, took me maybe 1.5 hours? The instructions are pretty basic, make sure you double check which side is the top because it's easy to get them confused! I used a drill to make the holes to attach the shelves to the metal frame deeper since they were really shallow. The screws attaching the shelves to the back wood panel wouldn't go flush into the wood, so I couldn't use the stickers to cover them. That's fine, since it's hidden against the wall. I caught the veneer with my fingertips at the corners of the shelves a few times. Nothing broke and there's no visible separation, but I'm kind of concerned that they're slightly loose on a brand new product. Once completed, the shelf is sturdy and stable (on carpet). Despite the minor issues, I really like the bookcase.
