I spent a lot of time researching wine racks. I had specific requirements such as the space available and the capacity. This is a 6 x 6 rack, which is really a 6 x 7 if you use the top shelf too, and it is double depth so 2 x 42 = 84 bottles in a compact form. It came pre-assembled, and it was immediately obvious that the wooden parts were much better quality than inferior products, being heavier gauge, and nicely finished to the edges.
The "slots" are generous, so take most sparkling wines which have wider girth, and of course litre bottles of spirits fit in fine too...the only exception is Tanqueray gin, as those bottles have a shoulder that is just too wide to let them slip all the way in...however they do go in 85% so not an issue if you can live with just 1 per slot, or a slimmer bottle in first and the bigger one at the front. Hendrix fit in just fine, even though those bottles appear quite wide at first. In my opinion, of its type, this is a superior product, good quality, will last for ever, and while I was a bit sceptical about the price I believe you won't find a better rack than this for sub-£100. I am delighted with my purchase.
