So I read few reviews from which one could gather the bed isn't very sturdy. I'm 14 stone and the Emma mattress is another 4 and I just tested it...and it's fine. I suspect if there was anyone sharing the bed with me and especially if there was any playing involved it could be different but for me it's just to sleep on and for that it seems perfectly fine. It's probably better suited indeed for a kids bedroom or just for a single person but that is exactly the case with me, the latter. It WILL NOT take any mattress larger than 135x190 cm so make sure you have/getting the right size. There are double mattresses that are a little bit bigger and there is no room for anything more. The only slight 'problem' is that if your mattress is thick (Emma is 25cm) then, as you can see from the pictures, it looks a bit out of proportion vs the rest of the bed. But, like I said, it's for me to sleep on. It was suprisingly easy to assemble given quite a large number of elements and everything looks like I was expecting it too. Nothing was damaged, nothing was out of color. I can see it's out of stock now but you can attack it with confidence if it ever comes back.
