Originally I was very pleased with the beds (I ordered 2 for my daughters) but less than a year after purchase, 1 bed wasn't opening properly. We were very gentle with it but then today this happened!!! (See pic) the frame broke and all the slats fell out. My daughter now has no bed for Christmas. Perhaps stupidly, I have just had to order the same bed so that it matches her sister's bed (rather than buy 2 new beds before Christmas). I am very disappointed and the timing couldn't be worse.

About This Product

This chic, modern Dodge Crushed Velvet Upholstered Storage Bed is finely upholstered in crushed velvet fabric with a metallic shimmer. It features a padded headboard and footboard with classic button detailing and padded side panels, this sturdy ottoman bed frame comes with a metal gas lift mechanism which allows the mattress to lift up revealing a straight to floor storage space underneath to suit all your needs. The mattress is supported on a solid beech slat and metal framework.

Features

The gas struts are sealed separately for safety reasons so you need to break the seal while assembling the bed frame. These parts do require a lot of force to break the seal. This is achieved by assembling the bed frame in the raised position and then pushing it down using the fabric handle
