Occasionally something comes up on a particular product that proves to be a pain. Such is the case with these chairs that proved a difficult assembly. First of all one part of the wood frame is connected to a larger piece with a dowel. Unfortunately, if not careful a simple twist of connect the two pieces snapped the dowel. It wasn’t a critical flaw, but did require drilling out the old dowel and glueing a new one in its place. Now moving on to the next problem, there are supposed to be three holes on the side of the back that has an embedded claw nut to screw the frame securely into the back. As shown in the pictures there were no holes. Not to make this a long review, I had to creatively figure out how to remedy the problem. After that the other chair assembled perfectly and I have to say they both look good. They are reasonably comfortable understanding that the upholstery is faux leather and it’s mid century style is lower to the ground. Things happen during the production and it happened in this one. Most would seek a replacement. The dowel breaking was my fault being a little too ham fisted in assembly. I give it an over all positive recommendation.
