Chapp Iron Writing Desk

Bought it for my husband and he absolutely loves it. Great product! It was delivered smoothly the next day and assembly was fairly easy. I would recommend it.

I love this desk and it's exactly what I needed for my current WFH situation. I'm very tall so I needed a desk that could fix into the small space but high enough not to have my knees bang underneath when sitting in an office chair and this does the job. The delivery was v fast and it took me about 90 mins to put it together by myself. Once built I did notice that the main wooden part of the desk creaked slightly when I leant on it to type/write but I fixed that in 60 seconds by putting some cotton wool between the main wooden desk part and the metal frame bar underneath and now it's totally silent (see photo). Only mentioning it in case it happens to anyone else who buys this desk as this is the v easy fix! :) When it arrived, and I was checking that the pieces were all there, I also saw that the plastic 'ends' of the desk frame (which go on the floor) were sticking a little out of place from the frame with the plastic-inner part of them slightly squashed, but I could easily push them fully back into place in 30 seconds and now it's 100% fine. The desk is very stable and it's just like the office. An absolutely fantastic desk for a great price and I've had lots of compliments on it. Thanks Wayfair!

We actually adjusted this and used some parts of similar style console table to extend the desk as it had to accommodate a storage pouffe when it didn’t have the chair in use, we also changed the laminate for old fence panels that we had and because I’m short had to trim the legs slightly. The frame is stable despite the extra weight, actually looking to purchase a second and do the same alterations again when it comes back to stock so that myself and my husband will both have a proper desk for work. Just enough detail that it isn’t a boring square frame but doesn’t impact functionality at all.

Was a nightmare to put together, took me hours but was worth it! Now I have a lovely desk, can’t wait to set up the printer & get a lamp and some desk folders so it all looks the part. Joys of working from home. Very cute desk.

I love this table, it is very spacious and yet looks very elegant
