Sterger 45 cm W Solid Wood Bedside Table

I had this bedside table for around 2 years - it was beautifully made and totally solid. However, it arrived in a cardboard box that had a real strong foul smell (almost fecal - which made me think it might have been stored incorrectly, like in very damp condition). I stupidly chose to ignore that, and now I realise it’s fully infested with woodworms. There are lots of tiny bore holes on its surface, and I can see new piles of fine saw dust and dead adult woodworms every time I open the drawers. Nothing else in my house has been affected thankfully, which tells me it must have come with the bedside table (I’ve since learned that woodworm larvae can live in wood for years). I have now wrapped it in layers of plastic bags so it doesn’t spread. It’s going straight to the skip - the thought of this riddled piece of furniture standing right next to where I sleep makes my skin crawl. What a shame - it was a beautiful piece of furniture but it’s too much risk to keep in the house. What a waste.

Lovely bedside tables. Good quality. Just be mindful that if you have lots of big knickers then you won’t get that many in the drawers. Still love them though.
