Disappointing Quality Despite Good Design I was initially excited to find this TV unit because it’s one of the few options available at 2 metres long – perfect for our 78-inch TV. Design-wise, it fits the space well and looks nice from a distance. However, the quality of the materials is very disappointing. The wood panels are extremely thin and flimsy. We received the unit just yesterday, assembled it on the same day, and haven’t even started using it yet. However, by today, we had already noticed multiple quality issues. There are visible scratches and scuffed edges around the surface — these were not caused by use, but were clearly there from the start. The surface veneer is extremely thin — like fragile paper, even thinner than standard A4 — and marks very easily. I’m genuinely afraid to place anything on top for fear of further damage. The veneer is so thin and delicate that I don’t even dare wipe it with a damp cloth — I worry it would start peeling off after just a few wipes. I honestly don’t know how to clean it without causing damage. We contacted customer service yesterday regarding the cabinet doors not closing properly — there’s a large visible gap, and the doors don’t sit flush within the frame. Today, after a closer look, we also discovered just how poor the veneer material is, which was not obvious at first glance. This adds to the overall disappointment and raises serious concerns about durability. Another issue is that although the unit is advertised as a 2-metre TV stand, it is actually made up of two separate cabinet units joined together. The top and bottom panels are not a single continuous piece, so there is a visible seam down both the top and base, which disrupts the clean appearance we expected. Inside the cabinet, there are no internal shelves at all — each section is just a large empty box. We had assumed there would be shelving to store items like TV boxes, game consoles, or DVDs. Unfortunately, to use the space properly, we would now have to drill into the sides and install shelves ourselves — far from ideal for a new piece of furniture. Overall, it feels like most of the £266 I paid went toward delivery rather than product quality. While the design itself is visually appealing, the poor build and fragile materials are extremely disappointing. I’m not confident this unit will last long.

The TV unit is as displayed on website, easy enough to assembly. The opening mechanism for the glass door is of very poor quality though.
