While rated for carpet up to 3/8", the material of this chair mat is too thin for anything deeper than indoor-outdoor loop carpet (around 1/8" depth). Use at the rated carpet depth causes the center of the mat to sink and the edges of the mat to rise above the carpet. The warp will likely persist and deepen as the mat wears. Yet, for the price, this mat will suffice.
