Lovely sofa. The velvet is so smooth to the touch - quite luxurious. The Bordeaux colour has a touch more blue in it than my Bordeaux curtains but, luckily they are not right new t to each other. The seat cushions are quite firm but still very comfortable. Back is low enough to drape your arm across when trying to look sophisticated! My only disappointment is that, contrary to what I was told before my purchase the seat cushions are not reversible so there is no opportunity to spread the wear.
