Monkstown Office Chair

Good quality, easy to build.

I wanted a big, beefy and sturdy chair that I wouldn't need to replace for at least 4 years and was willing to pay a bit more for it. This turned up when I was looking and was under budget, however once it arrived, I was disappointed to see it was pretty much just a standard office chair with padding. The lumbar support was great and the seat was comfortable, unfortunately I had some issues with the construction. The underslung foot rest was a faff to pull out and the arms never sat right and wobbled a bit, even after tightening the bolts to the max. Eventually, after about 4 months, this chair outright collapsed on me. The gas canister couldn't hold it up anymore which, considering how low it could go, was unfeasible for working at my desk. Maybe I got a duff one, or maybe the weight limit on the page doesn't match the limit from the designers, but I was thoroughly disappointed.
