Bought this for 2 reasons..the Grey colour & description says Solid Wood base. Firstly, the whole thing is made of chipboard, no solid wood anywhere. Instructions say its covered in Resin Impregnated Paper which does have a nice grainy feel and chipboard is 25mm thick so quite hefty. The top & carcase is definitely not Grey. Without prompting anyone i asked a number of people "what colour is this?". Every one said Beige as was my first impression. It could be called Limed Oak if you want to be modern, but certaily not Grey as the webpage shows. Does have some light grey grainy streaks to it. Drawers are appalling..grey fronts are half as light as picture shows but are spray painted then made worse by a cheap looking glossy film over the top even though the paint has imperfections in it under the film. Drawer boxes are very thin & flimsy, corners held together by the veneer, with 2mm hardboard bottoms. This is the worst let-down considering the price paid. I would have expected 'kitchen quality' drawers with soft close runners...the runners are very tinny cheap & nasty. People need to be more descriptive with their reviews. I do rely on these when buying online. Big disappointment.
