This item does not fit together there are dowel holes missing in the table tops instead of eight there are only four on each side.therefore They do not fit together so not fit for purpose please advise asap as to what I should do please same on both table tops

Quality not great, splinters on legs, had to rub down. Instructions useless. It's no good numbering each component on the instructions but not on the individual component. They don't seem that sturdy. Finish leaves a lot to be desired. I'm going to apply some sort of oil/polish. I decided not to return as it took me a good 2 hours to put them together.
