It's a beautiful chair. Just hard. We moved it from a main sitting area to a bedroom because it was too firm for our liking. We use it in the bedroom relaxing with the laptop or a book and don't find it bad for that type of short term use. For us, it wasn't a chair to hang out in chatting with company or watching a movie. It is just as pictured though. Fabric is comfortable - not scratchy. We have had it for over 2 years now.
