The piece is absolutely beautiful. I love it so much. But it was extremely heavy and the delivery company was not ready to handle 111kg - they couldn’t lift it and scratched my brand new floors, damaged my walls in the process.

This isn’t a review of the product itself but the truly abysmal customer experience I have had…. When this arrived (with room of choice delivery paid for) the delivery drivers said it was too heavy to get up the stairs. I suggested they unboxed it and took drawers etc out to carry it separately. When they unboxed it (in my hallway) it was obviously badly damaged on one corner. They said they couldn’t take it away on the day and asked to return the following day to collect and left, taking the packaging with them. When they came back the next day, they said they couldn’t take it because it wasn’t packaged!! . For context, it weighs about 100kg. Clearly I have no way of re packaging it so I contacted Wayfair customer service via WhatsApp. They seemed v helpful and promised to have an email sent to arrange a special pick up. This was 2 weeks ago. No email arrived. I tried again on Tuesday this week and again was promised (with extra guarantees it would really happen this time) an email to arrange special pick up. 3 days later, still no email. What do I do next? I have a damaged large piece of furniture in my hallway and am over £400 out of pocket.
