Sarkar 90cm W 5 - Drawer Chest of Drawers

Looks fab, but really really bad quality. The side panel we had was bowed and to wait and get a new one. Putting the draws together the wood kept splitting. A lot of money for really bad quality product. The side panels of the draws were not cut straight. I won’t be buying from Wayfair again.

Lovely solid chest of drawers, straight forward to assemble

Pretty straight forward to put together, but frame is a bit flimsy. Runners slide better by rubbing over with wax. Once the drawers are put in it stabilised. Good looking piece once assembled, with good drawer sizes. Only gave a 3 star rating as it could be a bit sturdier. Love the wooden drawer runners, and the handles are super.

I can confidently build flat-packself-assembly furniture, and anything I’ve built has stably held up to the rigours of being climbed upon etc by two small children. These drawers, however, are of terribly poor quality and could not be built properly. The drawer sides are a really soft wood like balsa, holes have been put in the wrong places, and split on assembly. There’s a huge gap of around 6-8 cm at the top where the drawer doesn’t meet the top of the frame, and some of the drawers are wonky due to incorrect screw-hole placement. One of the drawer sides arrived cracked in two, but it was so neatly that I didn’t immediately realise before building (there is no list of component parts to refer to before assembly, to check all parts are present). Upshot is, since I started building it, I wouldn’t have been able to return it, so persevered. However it’s such a bad item that it should never have been sold. I’m going to take it apart and re-assemble, ignoring all guideholes and strengthening the splits with gorilla glue, but I can’t imagine it will still be standing in a year. Really unacceptable quality.

Purchased the whole. Set. With bedside tables and Im very pleased with the purchase. The quality is better then I expected.
