I am new to building flat-pack furniture so that may be why I found this so difficult to build. The instructions are just labelled diagrams and the diagrams are not the most accurate/detailed. There are no step-by-step instructions. Also you have to download the English version of the instructions (to understand the labels on the diagrams) as the instructions in the box are in German. I have included a picture of the left hand side of the dresser with the Guide Rails on and also a drawers with the guide rail on so you can see what it should look like as the diagram for this is tiny and hard to make out which way round it should go. There are very faint markings on the Guide rails to explain which are Left and which are RIght hand side but they are very difficult to see. Hopefully this pic will save someone some time! One thing to note is that there are no guide holes on the pieces for the drawer for the guide rails. There are Guide holes to allow you to fit the drawer together but no guide holes for the guide rails (on the drawer) so make sure you have a drill handy. There are guide holes for the guide rails on the pieces for the dresser but they are very small so you may also need to reinforce them a little with the drill. This kit comes with Cam locks and nuts. I had never seen these before and had to google to find a YouTube video to explain how to use them. Be sure to google "Cam lock and nut" as these terms are not used in the instructions which simply calls them bolts and bolt nuts (I am assuming this is an error in translation). Hopefully this tip will save you a lot of time! I also found the guide holes for the Cam bolts to be very tight and when fitting them, the paint around them would crack and come off. As can be the case when building furniture, I had some bits left over which I do not know what to do with. I have included pictures of the bits - Four Black pins and a set of round white stickers. If someone from customer service can tell me what these are for, that would be great! At first I thought maybe the stickers were to cover the Cam locks, but they do not appear to be big enough. I do not buy a lot of flat-pack furniture so I do not know whether this is normal, but I was disappointed that when I opened the packaging initially that ALL the pieces provided were filthy! I had to wipe everything down with a cloth and vacuum the carpet as there seemed to be a lot of dirt and dust on the items. I was also disappointed to see that some items had marks. I have included pictures of the inside of one of the drawers to show this. This is not a mark that can be wiped off - it looks like the paintwork has been damaged on this piece. As it is on the inside of a drawer, and the other marks were on the inside of the dresser, I decided not to return the whole thing but it is disappointing when you purchase something new. Finally, I have included a picture of the finished product. It took me all afternoon with help to build this (approx 3-4 hours) though a lot of that time was figuring out how things should be fitted and what a Cam lock was. Hopefully I have saved the next customer a great deal of time with my pics and tips! My main feedback to the vendor would be, please improve quality control on this product so we don't get marked items or filthy items. Please also consider providing more detailed instructions or clearer diagrams for the novice furniture builder. Or better yet, include a link to a YouTube video with someone building the product and explaining as they go.
