The bed is fine and sturdy enough when built, however the shelves and clothes rack are so shallow that they hardly serve their purpose. The clothes sit out proud of the sides of the clothes rack! And touch the ground. My daughter who is using it is only 11, no point in even trying to put a full size hanger in it. And the drawers are tiny Also the chemical smell coming from the cupboard is very strong to the point where I might have to move it to the garage until it disappears. We've had it a month and it's still very bad. It will do, but if I wouldn't recommend it.

Edit to add I have amended my review as further down the line this bed is genuinely unsafe for children. The edges are so sharp my son has hurt himself several times including most recently a gash to his eye that involved a trip to AE (had it been a fraction lower he could have lost his sight in that eye). We have had to stick foam edging all along the bed which looks hideous but is necessary for safety until we have a new bed delivered. With the benefit of hindsight I’d avoid this bed at all costs - not sure how an item supposedly made for children passed any kind of safety tests when it’s of such ooor quality My son’s bedroom is a very small box room so I was looking for a bed that would give him a full size single along with some storage and maybe a little play space. Very happy with this item - the storage is much bigger than it looks and he has a lovely little den area where we have put a little light etc for if he wants to read. Boxes all ticked in that sense. The only downside was the building - took my husband all day to assemble and required help from two additional people to put the actual bed on top of the legs. I also found chips in the laminate already so the quality of the materials isn’t that great for the price.
