Sturdy when made, metal parts all went together well but some of the wooden parts were not square and didn’t fit quite as they should. However for a young boys bedroom it will hopefully be fine.

Looks nice, solid build quality, stairs will last forever, love the design. Took a long time to assemble but great bed! Knocked it down to 4 stars as our child who is 9yr old, has a normal 15cm deep mattress, but that sits above the max mattress line sticker, seems to require a very shallow mattress! Which means the guard rail feels like it could do with being a touch higher! It’s just about fine, but may try find a comfortable mattress that isn’t as deep, which is an extra expense. Under the bed is enough room for things like a desk, but mainly for a teen or younger. An adult can get away with it… just! I’m 5ft7 so need the desk chair fairly low for it to work. But all in all, a smart bed with a nice style, happy I got it, hopefully lasts a long time, only gripe is the safety rail should be just a few centimetres higher! But my daughter hasn’t had any issues so far, just us parents being safety concious.
