So disappointed with this product. Firstly, the stairs are on the left and not the right, although you could perhaps change this if you could work out how as the instructions are useless. They haven't identified the pieces so you have to work this out from the diagrams given - there are no written instructions. You can't actually see all the holes on the posts in the diagrams so it's a bit hit and miss as to whether you've got the correct post in the place. Secondly, the screws on the angled 'roof' protrude the width of the recess and mark the recess when screwed in - not ideal on a childrens bed! Finally, please do not use the given screws to attach the bed slats to the frame - they are too long and too soft so they are really hard to screw in, come through the frame and sometimes snap. Once I resalised this, I replaced with shorter, better quality screws, although I do have a broken screw sticking out which I will have to cover for protection! Such a shame as a few tweaks to this product and it would have been 5 star and worth the money.
