They did mention that they wished it came with more food items, but they wound up incorporating other food playsets they have with it. The set is of great quality and very sturdy. This kitchen is perfect for our small space and my kiddo loves it. However, it’s also really light! My two year old can move the whole furniture just by pulling on one of the doors. She spends a lot of time in her kitchen preparing meals for the family. I love the kitchen also. It is the perfect size for the house and it is well constructed. It is made of fairly thin wood but once assembled it is very strong. Assembly was a breeze, using the very simple, easy to follow instructions. All the parts fit together perfectly and really liked how the fasteners were packaged separately and labeled. The only problem is the salt shaker is somewhat rounded on the bottom so it doesn’t sit flat on the shelf. Also one of the screw holes was stripped out and the screw would not tighten. My daughter is 3 and while she enjoys playing with it, my friend’s 2 year old son loves it even more. It says 3 years and up, but we got him one as a gift and I feel he plays with it appropriately. I like that there are several activities on it and you can flip the top part upside down on the cube to store it as a cube. The top part can also be used independent of the cube if there are multiple kids wanting to play at once. I really like the sweet, simple aesthetic of it, not too bright or gaudy like some kids toys. My only complaint was when we received it the top walls of the cube were separated from each other. We hit it with the wood glue and it has been fine ever since.
