The evolutionary Darwin shed is the perfect design if you want the look and feel of wood with all of the benefits and ease of plastic. A Keter shed provides ample airflow by having specifically placed vents but, as with any shed, condensation can form. If you do see signs of condensation here are hints to help you to protect the contents of your shed. To prevent condensation inside your shed, wherever possible, do not allow any excess moisture inside the shed. To do this try and ensure all equipment inside the shed such as camping gear or sporting goods are cleaned and dried before storing them in the shed. Try to let as much air inside the shed on cooler, dry days, by opening the shed doors. This will help the air circulation inside the shed and will drop the humidity level inside. Please note the durable material that all Keter sheds are made of will not be affected by moisture or condensation as part of the Keter no maintenance promise.

Great little shed. As long as you follow the instructions, it's pretty straightforward to put together. Take note of the 4x corner panels and the dimensions - the 2 sides are different widths so if you don't get them the correct way round, it won't fit together properly. We've had the Dakota Fields retractable awning (395cm x 250cm) since May 2025 and have been very happy with it. We went with a manual (non-motorized) version as winding it out is fairly straightforwards and not a hassle. For whatever minor inconvenience that comes with that process, it far outweighs the hassle factor that comes with when the motorized unit eventually fails and the hassle that goes with replacement and inability to be used so I haven't regretted that decision—it operates easily and keeps things simple. We had it installed by a local builder, and every winter we keep it fully rolled in to protect it from the weather. As you can see from the image below - a protective shield over the item during prolonger periods of non-use will most likely prevent the bleaching. The only minor issue we've noticed is a small amount of discolouration on the outer edge, which we suspect is from sun bleaching of the section that remains exposed while the awning is rolled up. A protective cover during prolonged periods of non-use would probably help prevent this. Overall, it's been a great purchase and offers excellent value (€279) so I would recommend it to as a buy.. The Darwin Elevated Garden Bed turns dreams of homegrown herbs and veggies into a flourishing reality. This raised bed is well worth paying a little more for. It took about an hour and a half to assemble (32 screws) but the finished product is excellent quality. It is very sturdy, strong, fade proof, waterproof and has a modern colouring to blend into most gardens, it won't need painting or treating, and I found it a good height for me at 5 foot 5 inches. Once filled with soil it is also wind proof. You can plant about 15 lettuce comfortably, or more if you plant them closer still. The bonus for me which I was not aware of before ordering, is the water gauge. The gauge tells you when to water your plants, or if there is too much water in the bed, if it is flooded from rain there is a plug to release the excess water onto the ground below or into a watering can.
